• This is the post I wish to edit: http://community.vsl.co.at/forums/p/7714/56886.aspx#56886 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

•  Try clearing out all cookies from VSL - it's possible that cookies from the "old" forum are causing problems. Alternatively, try a different browser.

I currently have to use an old version of Netscape as Safari on Mac doesn't work properly with these new forums.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Well I've now tried 5 different browsers and they all display the same error message when I click on the edit button from that one thread. It can't be a cookies issue because some of the browsers I tried previously have never been used to access VSL. I've noticed I get the same error message when I try to edit any of my posts belonging to that thread. I can edit this thread OK. I've also tried some of my older threads which can be edited too. It's weird. Why'd they have to change the forum if it worked fine before? And why'd they put this one online before it was ready?

• Hi Mobius,

we changed the forum software because this one is way more powerful! The Search function is working now, finally, and there will be more benefits in the near future.

I´m sorry to see you disappointed about the edit fuctionality, but I can assure you that we will sort it out asap!

Thanks for your patience!

Best,

Paul

Thanks for the reply. I hope that means I will be able to edit my other thread soon, as I need to update a few things. I'm not sure what you mean when you say the new forum software is "way more powerful", as so far it seems to be much worse. Still, you guys know best I suppose. ;)

• Another problem is it does not recognise the return key any more. I hope you're not going to suggest I resort to HTML code just to create a few paragraphs?

•  Hi Mobius,

I totally understand that this is an issue, and we are aware of it.

I´m sure that you will understand that our main focus is on finishing the maintenance of our website.

The paragraphs work fine in, e.g., Firefox, so maybe that would be an alternative until we are ready.

Best,

• Hi, Any update on the progress of the editing problem I spoke about? I still can't edit my post. :( It's been 4 weeks now. Thanks, Darren

• Hi,

Does this happen with all posts, or only with some? Does this happen the moment you press the edit button, or wehen you want to save the changes?

Thnaks, Rainer

Either the site is offline or an unhandled error occurred. We apologize and have logged the error. Please try your request again or if you know who your site administrator is let them know too.
I've been unable to edit this post since the forum update. They said they're working on it, but over 4 weeks seems an awfully long time. :(

• Hi,

I guess it's the sticky, but I'm not quite sure. I will look further into this. For now, please mail me your changes for the post to r.halanek@vsl.co.at and I change the post according to your mail.

Regards, Rainer
